CryptoPunks are a collection of 10,000 unique, algorithmically generated 24x24 pixel art characters. They were created by Larva Labs in 2017, becoming one of the first examples of NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. Each CryptoPunk has distinct traits, such as hats, glasses, and hairstyles, making them highly collectible. Initially given away for free, their scarcity and historical significance have led to substantial value appreciation. CryptoPunks have influenced digital art and NFT culture, inspiring numerous projects. They symbolize the early days of blockchain-based digital ownership and continue to be sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.
