BRC-20 is a token standard on the Bitcoin blockchain for creating and managing fungible tokens.

BRC-20 is a token standard developed for the Bitcoin blockchain. It allows the creation and management of fungible tokens. Inspired by Ethereum's ERC-20, BRC-20 tokens enable developers to create digital assets on Bitcoin. This standard leverages Bitcoin's robust security and decentralized nature. It opens new possibilities for decentralized applications and financial products on Bitcoin. BRC-20 tokens use ordinal inscriptions to store and execute smart contract-like functions. This enhances Bitcoin's functionality beyond simple transactions. Despite its potential, BRC-20 is still experimental. It is subject to ongoing development and requires further refinement for widespread adoption.
